This reaffirms my Sell on UUP last month.
So what is China really doing by not ‘guaranteeing’ future loans by local governments? I think they are making the local governments wake up and smell the coffee about debt levels.
Prediction for the next 12 months, Gold goes down, Dollar goes up
Is this another arguement to be long UUP? The futures contract is designed to replicate the performance of being long the US Dollar against the Euro, Japanese Yen, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Swedish Krona and Swiss Franc.
I think there is an inverse relationship with Gold and the USD. So far I have not pulled the trigger. We could see another bump in Gold prices and another hit to the USD.
The stock is up 4.66% since I bought it yesterday, a day before its x-dividend date. Motivated by the 8.59% interest rate yesterday, today I am motivated to sell this stock, probably on Monday after my shares are properly recorded for dividend action.
Today the chart has continued to move in a downward trend, with a first line of resistance at $86. People are moving out of treasuries right now, so I am continuing to keep an eye on this iShare. I think long term, I want to own this.
